Athinoula A Martinos Center High School Summer Scholars Program 2027
The Athinoula A Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging is offering a 4-week summer program for High School Students who are over the age of 16. Students will rotate through different laboratories at the Martinos Center each week learning about neuro imaging analysis, clinical neuroscience, pre-clinical neuroimaging, engineering and clinical hospital care. At the end of the program students will give a presentation on one topic they learned about.
This program is geared towards helping students who may not have previously had the opportunity or confidence to apply for a science program. It is our goal that through this program we can help students find their passion for science and create long lasting network connections.
Location: 149 13th Street, Charlestown MA, 02129
Hours: 9am-3pm M-F
Dates: 7/12/27-8/6/27
Requirements: Students must be age 16+ by 7/1/27 in order to apply for this internship.
Application Process
For the summer of 2027 applications will go live in February 2027 and will be due in March 2027.

Does this summer program cost money?
No this program is free of charge.
Do you offer housing for out of state students?
We do not offer housing.
How can students get to the Martinos Center?
Students can drive and park in the parking garage, they can take the MBTA to North Station and take the free MGB bus which drops off in front of our building, they can carpool.
What if a student can only attend part of the program? Can they still apply?
Students should still apply but we will prioritize students who can attend all 4 weeks.
What if a student won’t be over age 16 by the start of the internship?
Unfortunately we are unable to accept students under the age of 16. We encourage you to apply next year!
